Hi, I'm emily!
I am the owner and founder as well as Head Trainer and Walker here at Dog Days. Our four-legged friends are my absolute passion and I love nothing more than to be out in the wilderness with them, whatever the weather.

I love all dogs of all shapes, sizes and colours and it doesn't take me long to fall in love with every single one, whether they are with me for just an hour or every day of the week.
My Story
I was born and raised in Heathfield, East Sussex, so I know this area quite literally like the back of my hand! I have adored animals since I can remember, with dogs being my absolute favourite! (One of my earliest memories is of getting told off at school for writing too many stories about dogs – apparently I had to expand my horizons!)

After sitting and passing 14 GCSE’s I went onto Plumpton College to study a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and finished with D*D*D! I then went straight on to an Animal Science Degree.
As part of my degree I was given the opportunity to travel to South Africa to help on a game reserve. We worked closely with the staff there and helped them to do research into the animals and we even got to help the canine anti-poaching teams to protect the Rhino that they had on site. It was amazing to see how much difference dogs have on their lives out there!

Most recently I have studied an advanced Level 4 Diploma in Canine Behaviour whilst I was helping out a local gundog trainer, who also won Kennel Club’s trainer of the year 2021, in her classes. But after a year I decided I wanted to take the plunge into the world of dogs on my own!

Dog Days East Sussex was born in September 2022 and I haven’t looked back since! I am an Accredited Mantrailing Global Instructor as well as a Dog trainer and walker and use my belief in positive reinforcement in every aspect of my life with dogs.

I absolutely adore what I do and whether I am walking, trailing or training, I can guarantee that I am putting my heart and soul into doing what is best for your best friend.
Hi, I'm sue!
As well as Emily's mum, I am the groomer at Dog Days. Dog grooming has always been a interest of mine and finally in 2008 I took the plunge and did my qualification.

As well as grooming, I am a full-time floristry lecturer so creativity has always run through my blood. I am a perfectionist and won't let a dog go home without my thorough approval!
